Please note: these are two separate locations located just a few minutes apart.
*Upon arrival at the farm, follow signs to our entrance. Our staff will guide you to park in the designated field. There will be employees in the field to assist you and answer queries.
This year, we’re excited to offer two separate strawberry season experiences at Thompson Farm. We'll have U-Pick Strawberries as always, plus a Strawberry Festival experience at our Adventure Farm!

Step into the sweetest celebration of summer at Thompson Farm’s very first Strawberry Festival! 🍓☀️ Spend the day making memories at our Adventure Farm while enjoying exciting attractions, delicious treats, beautiful photo ops, and relaxing summer vibes the whole family will love. Whether you're here to let the kids burn off energy, enjoy great food and drinks, or simply soak up a beautiful day on the farm, Strawberry Festival is the perfect summertime outing for all ages! Mark your calendars, you won't want to miss it! Please note: The Strawberry Festival is a separate location from our U-Pick and Pre-Picked Strawberry Fields.

🚜 Explore the Adventure Farm – Bounce pillows, a low ropes course, giant tube slide, Rat Racers, Barnyard Bouncers, and more make for endless fun and adventure!

📸 Snap the Perfect Summer Photo – Stroll through fun strawberry-themed displays and colorful farm scenery perfect for capturing sweet summer memories.

🐴 Pony Rides – Kids 90lbs and under can enjoy a pony ride for just $10/person.

About U-Pick Strawberries:
Ready to experience the sweetest, juiciest strawberries around? Our U-pick strawberry field is waiting for you to fill your baskets with nature's candy! We’ll provide the baskets, and you just bring your best strawberry-picking skills. Our berries are so fresh, they won’t last as long as store-bought ones, so be sure to enjoy them soon after you pick them! Check out our tips and recipes below for ways to keep your berries at their best.
Once you've filled your baskets, simply drive to our checkout stand where one of our friendly staff members will meet you to help you with your purchase. Easy and delicious!

Pick 'Em Perfect! Strawberries don’t ripen after they’re picked, so make sure you’re picking fully ripe, deep red berries for the best flavor.

About Pre-Picked Strawberries:
Craving fresh strawberries without the picking? We've got you covered! Our pre-picked strawberry baskets are picked fresh every morning and set out at 9:00 AM sharp — no earlier! They're bursting with flavor and perfect for a quick grab-and-go treat.
Available daily — while supplies last!

These berries go fast, especially on sunny days! For the best selection, we recommend arriving earlier rather than later.

Picking Tips & After Care
AFTER CARE

Store the berries in the coolest part of your home (refrigerator, basement, garage floor, etc.)

Do not remove hulls before washing

Do not rinse off berries until you're ready to use them

Grade your berries -- use ripest ones first
Freezing Strawberries
-
Wash, hull, and slice into large, shallow pan. Sweeten -- ¾ cup sugar to 4 cups prepared berries. Stir and let stand in pan until sugar dissolves (just a few minutes), then put into freezer containers leaving ½ inch head space for expansion. Put into freezer immediately. Berries can also be crushed, then sweetened and frozen.
Using Frozen Strawberries

Thaw only until berries can be broken apart. Serve while fruit still has ice crystals for fresh-like flavor!
How to Pick

Pinch & twist, leaving the caps on.

Grasp the stem just above the berry between the forefinger and the thumbnail and pull with a slight twisting motion. Leaving the caps on will help your berries stay fresher for longer. Remove caps only when you are ready to use the berries

Pick thoroughly, making sure you are getting all the berries that are ripe.
Pick Ripe Berries

Select firm, fully red, ripe berries

Strawberries DO NOT ripen after they are picked. Most varieties will reach their peak flavor when they are completely red.
